5 IMAGE CAPTURES OF ARCHITECTURE

Movement and continuity of space is not broken as the interior and exterior are “dissolved” and there is no definite line to differentiate the two spaces. The curves which don’t touch collide add to this obscurity

The night time setting highlights the interior of the tram stop created by the large curve. It is within this space where most commuters communicate with the space thus making it important

The walls, seating and elevated floors indicate the interior space of the tram stop but despite this, the area is exposed, crumbling the privacy of interior spaces. This effectively reduces the distinction between two separate spaces
APPLIED TEXTURES

 TEXTURE 1: DARK

Used this on the walls around the seating area as this area would be seen and commonly contacted with commuters

TEXTURE 2: MEDIUM

This was used on the larger curve of the tram stop. Because of the pattern which intersects at 90 degrees, the texture showed up smoother and more connected compared to what I experienced in EXP1
TEXTURE 3: LIGHT

Used on the inner side of the smaller curve because when both patterns were on the outside it looked unorganised and it would be seen by commuters when walking under the curve

PROCESS OF DESIGN
From the three combined axonometrics, I decide to continue with AXO5&6

AXO 5: Dissolve the distinction between the interior and exterior
AXO 6: The space between is more important, Carlo Scarpa

Rotated the axonometric
Experimented with the curved axonometric
