Stefano Boeri's "Vertical Forest" addressed the present issue of sustainable living and this project has been realised in Milan with the two buildings hosting 900 trees and over 20 000 plants. It hopes to sustain and build the surrounding biodiversity and reduce urban sprawl by building higher but also with a higher accessibility to nature in an urban setting.
